Machias Savings Bank to Sponsor Maine Teachers at National Conference

(Augusta) – Last Friday at Maine Jump$tart Coalition’s annual Fostering Financial Education in Maine Schools Conference, Machias Savings Bank announced it was now accepting applications for its 2018-2019 Jump$tart National Educators Conference Scholarship. As a longtime sponsor of the Coalition, Machias Savings Bank is dedicated to supporting financial education in Maine classrooms.

In front of over 130 teachers and personal finance champions, Mary Dyer, President of the Maine Jump$tart Coalition, shared the exciting news. She was joined on stage by the Vice President of Customer Service for Machias Savings Bank, Melissa Moffett, who is also on the Coalition’s Board of Directors. Dyer informed the conference attendees that the local bank would cover all expenses for attendance at the national Jump$tart Educator Conference, noting that the number of scholarships awarded will vary depending on overall costs.

Information about the National Jump$tart Educator Conference, which will be held from November 3-5 in Cleveland, Ohio, can be found on the National Jump$tart Coalition website.

To be considered for this opportunity, please submit a completed Application to info@mainejumpstart.org
