The upcoming Fostering Financial Education in Maine Schools Conference will be held on May 11, 2018 in Augusta, Maine. The Conference will feature state and national experts who will share resources and best practices designed to support Maine educators who are working to include financial education in the K-12 and post-secondary classroom. The event is funded largely through grants and private contributions.
Workshops led by Maine teachers will also be offered and exhibitors will be on hand to provide free resources and curriculum for Pre-K through college-aged groups. The conference will also include sessions on how to best utilize technology to advance personal finance education.
Organizers are offering financial support to schools on a first-come, first-serve basis to cover the $25 Conference registration fee, as well as funds to meet other expenses, including a substitute teacher for the day of the event.
